ArtUP! – Media Art in Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey, a project of the Goethe-Institut in those three countries, opens the new exhibition PARABOLE, curated by Yovo Panchev.

The exhibition PARABOLE presents 15 artists from Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey with their selected artworks in several exhibitions in Bulgaria and in an online exhibition on the virtual exhibition space ArtUP!.

In this group exhibition, media artists from the three countries explore new local urban legends, intending to provide a wider critical reflection on the past, to depict the current period of mobility, migration and crisis as well as to examine the future perspectives in the region.

PARABOLE unfolds in a series of exhibitions in Sofia (Goethe-Institut and the fridge), Ruse (Dom Canetti), Plovdiv (The Ancient Bath) and Varna (contemporary space) between 16th April and 25th July 2013.
The PARABOLE runs in addition on the virtual exhibition space ArtUP!, starting from 16th April 2013.

The opening reception of the exhibition PARABOLE is on 16th April 2013 at 6 p.m. at the Goethe-Institut in Sofia.

In Ruse, the opening will take place on 18th April at 6.p.m. at Canetti House (12, Slavyanska Str). The exhibition will be open to visitors from 18th April to 2nd May each day except Monday and Sunday between 4 and 7 p.m. (or on appointment elisa.calosi@eliascanetti.org).
