In the last days of April, the Goethe-Institut Bulgaria, in partnership with the Elias Canetti International Society, presents German Film Days. The program features three documentaries produced over the past four years, dedicated to cultural and historical themes. Each film, though addressing different topics, offers a detailed and critical perspective on the recent past. On Saturday and Sunday, the audience will have the opportunity to see for the first time or revisit two film classics from the 1930s by director Fritz Lang (1890–1976). Working in Germany and the United States, he left a deep mark on the history of cinema from the Weimar Republic by setting new aesthetic and technical standards.
All films feature Bulgarian subtitles and will be screened at the Kaneti House.
Admission is free.
