4 p.m. Comic workshop
6 p.m. Exhibition opening

Working hours: June, 16th to 26th, Monday to Thursday 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

The art exhibition Comic sans sens presents the best works from the numerous meetings of comic enthusiasts from around the country. Each art work came to life not by a single creator but a whole group – on the so called comic jam principle. Comic jams gather comic artists and everyone who wants to participate in comic improvisation.

Typical for these jams is that they happen without a prior preparation of the participants, the art works do not follow any prearranged scenario either. Everything happens in the form of improvisation, in most cases without even a given topic.  It is inspired by the specific time, the place and the participants.

The exhibition presents drawings from jams organized at different places in Sofia, Veliko Tarnovo, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Varna, Burgas and Ruse, places which the organizers from Comics Bistro and Co-mixer visited in the last one year and a half.

The comic workshop before the opening will take place at 4 p.m. Together with Ivaylo Draganov (Comicsbistro.net), the participants will conduct the second comic jam session in Ruse. All interested young people are welcome to participate. Registration: leonardo@eliascanetti.org

Comic sans sens is a cooperation between Comicsbistro.net and Co-Mixer. Comicsbistro.net is a project for sharing Bulgarian online comics. Co-mixer is a periodically published magazine with short comic stories done by different authors, on topic, which is different for each issue.
