On the 12th September the concert of Voutchkova/Thieke Duo will take place at Canetti House.

The duo has worked intensively since 2011 and developed a strong interest in exploring reduction and micro elements that increase the sensitivity of perception for themselves as well as their audiences. The music focuses on micro tonality and intimate, slow moving soundscapes. As active performer-composers the two musicians are intrigued by real time composition and improvisation, as well as by contemporary composition. The duo has performed in Italy, Austria, Bulgaria, Serbia, Czech Republic and Germany, and has released their first album “Already there” on the Swiss label Flexion Records (“A very subdued, enchanting duo …. The work of Voutchkova and Thieke is part of the Echtzeitmusik scene, which was created in the last 20 years in Berlin. Rooted in the subcultural contexts of the 90s, the scene has developed a big variety of experimental music forms related to the original language of strong individual performers (for example: trash-pop, electronica, performance and soundart).

Apart from their concert in Ruse Voutchkova and Thieke will perform on 11.09. in  Club Taralej in Veliko Tarnovo, on 13.09. during the Night of Museums and Galleries in Plovdiv and also on 17.09. in The Red House in Sofia konzertieren.
