“How to stop the emigrant’s factory and the brain drain from the elite high schools?” is the topic of an open civic debate. The emigration of young Bulgarians in search for better education, work or/and quality of life is becoming more and more visible in small cities like Ruse. The debate’s purpose is to analyse what has happened in the past few years and to give suggestions what could be improved to bring some of them back. Together representatives of high schools in Ruse, the University of Ruse, as well as local politicians, and concerned citizens will debate on this current and tense issue. The debate’s moderator is an independent expert on that topic with a vast experience moderating similar formats.

The debate takes place within the project “Bulgarian Network for Civic Dialogue”, which is funded under the program for NGO support in Bulgaria under the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2009-2014 г. (www.ngogrants.bg)
