In 2023 we will celebrate the 12th edition of the „Night of Literature“ in Bulgaria.
Expect again many interesting excerpts from European books published in the original form after 2000.
The Night of Literature will unfold in 2023 in Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Burgas, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Dobrich, Kyustendil, Lovech, Montana, Pernik, Plovdiv, Ruse, Silistra, Smolyan, Stara Zagora, v. Chavdar. to allow the public to enjoy the beauty of European literature and to help readers once again discover their new favourite writer. The Elias Canetti Austrian Library in Ruse will present an excerpt from the collection of the Ruse Literary Festival (2018-2020) „The Breath of Europe“ (from Elias Hirschl’s One Hundred Black Sewing Machines) – Austria

and

a fragment from „Witch“ – Venko Andonovski (North Macedonia)

Anna Nuneva will read

In the Regional Library „Lyuben Karavelov“ will be presented the Swedish fragment of „The Invisible Child“ by the Finnish Swedish-speaking writer Tuve Janssoni

and

„Real Angels“ by the Danish author Morten Pepe.

Mladen Minev will read

In the Small Hall „Konstantin Dimchev“ in the Drama Theatre „Sava Ognyanov“ will be presented a fragment from „Till“ by Daniel Kelman (Germany)

and

a fragment from „Microscripts“ by Robert Walser (Switzerland)
