The International Elias Canetti Society (IECS) is organizing the first partner meeting of the Erasmus+ project Language Against Dropout (LAD).
The main objective of the project is to develop a scientifically sound approach for Bulgarian as a second language in preschools and primary schools and thus to counteract school dropout at the earliest possible stage. The LAD project contributes directly to the goals of the Europe 2020 strategy that aims to reduce the dropout rates under 10 %.
The following partner organisations will take part in the meeting: Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, Germany, St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo, Bulgaria, Colegiul Naţional Pedagogic „Constantin Brătescu”, Romania, Center for Interethnic Dialogue and Tolerance “Amalipe”, School „Angel Kunchev”, Ruse, Bulgaria, School „Aleko Konstantinov”, Ruse, Bulgaria and the Kindergarden „ Little Red Riding Hood”, Ruse, Bulgaria.
The opening of the first LAD partner meeting will take place on the 14th of November 2015, at 10 a.m., at the Regional library ‘Ljuben Karavelov’ in Ruse. The press conference will take place on the following date, the 15th of November 2015, at 12:30 pm at the office of IECS.
