Welcome to the Literature Festival in Ruse! It will take place from 7 to 15 of October 2017, has a birthday and is titled “Parallel Worlds”. Our freshly edited Jubilee Book, contains works by more than 60 participants in this current and previous editions of the festival. Devoted to our credo to bring together and promote differences, this year the festival welcomes various languages and genres under the title “Parallel Worlds”. Writers, artists, directors, musicians and a cook from Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic,Germany, Hungary, Poland, Spain and Switzerland will read poetry and prose, bring paintings, photographs and installations, show films, discuss, play music, improvise and taste some food together with the public in Ruse and Tarnovo. Following our mission to expand the knowledge on Elias Canetti, the festival gives us the opportunity to meet Barbara Traber, secretary of Canetti in London, as well as Sven Hanushek and Ventseslav Konstantinov, researcher and translator of Canetti’s work.
