Sara Renar. She won in competition with 44 other candidates from Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Sara is a graduate architect and she is also a Croatian performing and recording musician. A calling she has answered successfully for years and her project idea, titled “Soundtrack Ruse 2020” was selected and won her the Scholarship. The preparation time is one month, in which Sara will work with poets and writers from Ruse, with whom she will select the literary basis. The result will be a live performance at Canetti House together with said local poets and writers, which should sound like a unique soundtrack of Ruse.

Sara was born and lives in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. As a musician from the Balkans, she wants to find in Bulgaria, specifically in Ruse, people of her generation (1987) with similar interests. She’s interested in social issues that affect the lives of each of us. Whilst working on her project, her focus will still be on the beauty of words and music. Sara will start working in Ruse in mid-September, and the performance will be part of the 13th edition of the International Literature Festival in October.
